Our last Wine Island was a huge hit, and we want to offer another one this summer. The premise behind the night harkens back to the question of what wine would you want to drink if you were stranded on a desert island? Many of you keep saying that you have too much wine piling up at home and little opportunity to drink it. We are here to help: Chef David will prepare a delicious wine-friendly dinner will give you an opportunity to open (and share) some of those bottles you’ve been collecting at home. At our last Wine Island, we picked Burgundy as our theme, and we had a lot of incredible wines, like a 1993 Leroy Vosne-Romanee. People got a little competitive with what they brought. Don’t be afraid to dig deep and level up.
At the end of the Wine Island we voted on the next theme, and it was practically unanimous. Here’s your chance to open those bottles of old Italian reds that are collecting dust in your cellar. But, of course, any special occasion calls for champagne, so please feel free to add this to your bag of goodies.
If you do not have something appropriate at home, don’t worry, I can help. We have plenty of wines at Ungrafted that fit the bill, and I can offer them to you at retail pricing. Email rebecca@ungraftedsf.com and I’ll send you some ideas.
Just a reminder: We do not charge any corkage fee at our Wine Island. Bring a couple of friends and a couple of wines, eat a delicious meal and meet some cool new people along the way.
