Camino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Montecillo Vineyards, Moon Mountain 2018
After stints at Copain and Neyers, winemaker Tadeo Borchardt launched his wine label Camino in 2012. The fruit comes old-vine Cabernet Sauvignon planted high up on the Mayacamas range. Montecillo vineyard is owned by the Lee family who founded Kenwood back in 1970, and tended to by Sonoma legend Chuy Ordaz!
Aromas of juicy red plums, graphite, and milk chocolate entice one into the palate of fine-grained tannins with intensely perfumed notes of dark cherries, ripe black plums, and toasted vanilla.
