Kaplja (meaning drop in traditional Slovene) is a skin-contact wine made from Chardonnay, Friulano, and Malvasia Istriana. The maceration lasts 60-90 day and is done in large oak barrels. After fermentation is ages for 3 years in oak and an additional 1 year in bottle before release. This is a serious, contemplative skin-contact wine with incredible texture and aromatic intensity.
