Adrien Dhondt, in his thirties, is at the head of Domaine Dhondt-Grellet founded by his parents in 1986, Eric Dhondt and Edith Grellet, in Flavigny in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. The Estate has six hectares, notably in Premier Cru and Grand Cru, ideally located between Cramant, Cuis, Sézanne, and Avenay-Val-d'Or. HIghly influenced by Burgundian winemaking, Adrien has been pushing the estate beyond just organic farming: animal plowing of the fields and the use of plant preparations and composts are now the norm.

100% Chardonnay from a number of small parcels scattered around the village of Cuis and Chouilly. It is vinified in stainless steel and is 70% of the base vintage with the remainder a perpetual reserve started in 1986. Dosage is under 1g/l. This is Adrien’s most fine-boned cuvée. This is a highly acclaimed grower Champagne and not to be missed!
